Each year, the association Wiener Tanzwochen (WTW) organizes ImPulsTanz – Vienna International Contemporary Dance festival. Created in 1984, it is meanwhile the biggest workshop & performance festivals worldwide with 4000 active participants and 100.000 visitors from all over Europe.
WTW constantly strives to establish new audiences for dance and to open up the potential of new target groups. With its long year experience in the field of education, production and presentation, and its strong connection to European and international networks, it provides a platform for the development and documentation of best practices in contemporary dance education and creation.
WTW is concerned with inclusive programming since 1991, when it hosted its first workshop for blind & partially sighted people. Meanwhile, one third of its 250 workshops are mixedability oriented.
